In the summer of 2004, I joined a group of people who walked the 500 kilometers from Hamar to Trondheim, following the newly marked "pilgrim roads" through the countryside. The trip itself was written about in a three newspapers, two which we met on the road, one which interviewed me after I came home. The latter, Fredrikstad bladis the only one still online. I found another through the internet archives, but I'm unsure if it works. We were also on the radio. We also wrote a diary every night, which Kristine, one of the other pilgrims completed and put online. It's in norwegian, but has lots of nice images that the english speaking crowd can look at.
This dress was many different firsts for me. It was my first attempt at anything historical. It was also my first completely handsewn ensemble. Not to mention that it was the first thing I made that I actually ended up using. Last and least, - I tried to make my first dress diary out of it, but it didn't get too inspiring. It can be read in it's unchanged version.
